Bass Headstock

6" x 6" watercolor on paper. Admiring the slender neck of this elegant upright bass, my husband mentioned that he would love to own one. "But you don't play the bass," I admonished. "What would we do with another huge instrument in our house?" "I want a whole room full of instruments that I can't play. I want to be able to have friends over and fill the house with music. I want to play them all, even if I can't play them well." How boring it would be to only want the things that are easy. It is so much more interesting if we search for the newest challenges and the things that are difficult. What new challenges have you brought into your home recently?
